Items to Bring to Russia

1. Bring pictures of your family, hometown, other sports you do, etc. It is a good idea to put together a small photo album of your family and things that are part of your everyday life. It will serve as a great tool to aid in the communication process. It is also a good way to share what is important to you with our Russian hosts. You may want to include some local postcards. Total number of items on the order of 15-25. Things that are language free like this are very good.
2. Bring addresses of some of your primary supporters so you can write a postcard from Russia, thanking them.
3. Bring a camera, of course, to record things so you can give a slide show to family, coaches & supporters upon return. A video camera is also a great item to bring to record some of the action.
4. During the trip, keep a journal so you can recall things to pass on to your supporters upon returnand for future reference for you. This will be a very unique experienceone worth remembering.
 5. Bring some small giftslocally made or Oregon made items are good. You may find someone who will donate them, or you will need to come up with a few dollars to pay for them. Six items per person should be ample. In some cases, you will be given something and you will want to have an item to give in return. Be sure to keep the items fairly small. Some examples: Refrigerator magnets with Oregon picture or motif. Playing cards with Oregon picture on the back. Fold out postcard sets, with Oregon picture. Key chain/attachment with Oregon picture on the attachment. Shot glass with Oregon picture on it.
